DBS fuel traffic, happily often in the hands of BR built Class 60s.
Last Update 9/6/13.
60063 - 6B13, 8/6/13.
At the popular Winterbourne crossing, 60063 rumbles past in glorious sunshine with 6B13 Robeston-Westerleigh. It's true that the DB red ones do indeed "look all the same" now, but maybe in a similar vein to the maroon WCRC 47s we should all just be grateful they're still around?.
66129 - 6V62, 2/4/13.
Nearly at journey's end, 66129 speeds through Fox's Wood, Keynsham, with 6V62 Fawley-St Phillips Marsh.
60010 - 6B33, 1/4/13
After having been diverted via the Berks & Hants due to an engineering occupation between Didcot and Reading, 60010 passes Fox's Wood with 6B33 Theale-Margam.
60059 - 6E41, 27/3/13.
Looking commendably smart, 60059 departs Westerleigh with 6E41 Westerleigh-Lindsey,
60007 - 6B13, 21/3/13.
60007 rumbles towards Westerleigh with 6B13 Robeston-Westerleigh.
60059 - 6B13, 30/10/12.
Passing beneath the rather odd new footbridge at Newport (it's hardly sympathetic with the original GWR structures), 60059 heads 6B13 Robeston-Westerleigh.
66089 - 6V62, 23/10/12.
Having run round its lengthy train in Eastleigh Yard, 66089 gingerly gets underway with 6V62 Fawley-St Phillips Marsh.
60063 - 6E41, 20/10/12.
At Cam & Dursley Station, 60063 gathers pace with 6E41 Westerleigh-Lindsey empty fuel tanks.
60049 - 6B13, 17/10/12.
At a sunny Severn Tunnel Junction, 60049 rumbles by with 6B13 Robeston-Westerleigh.
60071 - 6E41, 2/6/12.
After the initial rush to photograph DB red, as the livery spreads amongst the Class 60s I imagine people will turn their attention to the remaining EWS examples. At Lower Wick, a rather tired looking but sounding superb 60071 passes with 6E41 Westerleigh-Lindsey. No cloud detail in this image as there genuinely wasn't any to record.
60079 - 6B33, 19/5/12.
Having endured a lengthy wait in Pilning's down goods loop so a HST could overtake, 60079 finally continues with 6B33 Theale-Robeston.
60099 - 6E41, 19/5/12.
After a revised Saturday departure time of 11:41, 60099 rumbles through Lower Wick with 6E41 Westerleigh-Lindsey. Since February I'd had a few attempts to record Class 60 hauled workings, all of which had ended in disaster so it was a relief to at least have a half decent result here.
66065 - 6B33, 14/2/12.
Having been held in Bristol Parkway's down goods loop, 66065 restarts its journey with 6B33 Theale-Robeston. I'd just arrived here back from Temple Meads on a Voyager (somehow I neglected to make a note of its number), and while this is hardly an inspiring image it's not often I get the opportunity to record a weekday 6B33.
60071 - 6B33, 11/2/12.
After crawling slowly towards Patchway Station, the driver of 60071 attempts to regain speed enroute to South Wales with a Saturday 6B33 Theale-Robeston.
60054 - 6B13, 25/11/11.
6B13 Robeston-Westerleigh casting long shadows in its wake, with overhauled 60054 in charge wearing the slowly spreading DBS red livery passes the rather sad remains of the once busy and important Severn Tunnel Junction marshalling yard.
60096 - 6B33, 23/8/11.
A rather shabby EWS liveried 60096 heads 6B33 Theale-Robeston through Patchway.
60074 - 6B33, 11/6/11.
Teenage Cancer Trust blue liveried 60074 heads through Patchway working 6B33 Theale-Robeston.
60099 - 6B33, 26/5/11.
In its very attractive TaTa steel livery, 60099 rumbles through Patchway towards South Wales with 6B33 Theale-Robeston.
60013 - 6B13, 26/4/11.
Sadly only a month after this picture was taken 60013 suffered a major engine failure, and is reported to be an unlikely candidate for repair. All seemed well here as it passes Severn Tunnel Junction with 6B13 Robeston-Westerleigh.
66014/070 - 6B13, 9/1/10.
With a diverted 6B13 Robeston-Westerleigh, 66014 & 66070 doublehead the tanks in snowy conditions through Patchway. Happily DBS didn't persevere with the experiment of using either two 66s or a single 59/2 to power these trains.
