A category devoted to Freightliner's traditional freight flow.
Last Update: 5/9/13.
66543 - 4L32, 5/9/13.
My first ever visit to Meadow Lane, Bathampton (thanks to Stuart Graham for the tip), produced 66543 with a well loaded 4L32 Bristol FLT-Grain Thamesport FLT. This liner was preceded five minutes earlier by 66604 light engine, working 0M40 Stoke Gifford-Westbury.
66567 - 4L31, 5/9/13.
At Newton St Loe, 66567 is bang on time with 4L31 Bristol FLT-Felixstowe North FLT.
66590 - 4059, 6/7/13.
In glorious sunshine at Chipping Sodbury, 66590 hurtles past with 4O59 Cardiff Wentloog-Southampton Maritime.
66504 - 4O59, 18/5/13.
I'm undecided as to how I feel "Powerhaul" suits 66s, but I guess it adds a modicum of variety to the FL fleet. At Chipping Sodbury, 66504 passes at speed with 4O59 Cardiff Wentloog-Southampton Maritime.
86622/627/605 - 20/4/13.
Resting between duties, 86622 (in Powerhaul livery) heads 86627/605 within Crewe Basford Hall Yard.
86604/614, 20/4/13.
Adorned in the more familiar FL livery, 86604 stands stabled ahead of 86614 at Crewe Basford Hall Yard.
66570 - 4K51, 20/4/13.
66570 stands shut down at the head of 4K51 Trafford Park FLT-Crewe BH liner within the yard, 90046 can be seen in the right background.
66542 - 4L32, 2/4/13.
Passing the deserted sidings at Kingsland Road, 66542 heads 4L32 Bristol FLT-Tilbury liner.
66954 - 4O51, 29/3/13.
Slowing to a halt at Hawkeridge Junction to await a path through Westbury Station, 66954 heads a diverted 4O51 Cardiff Wentloog-Southampton MT.
70001 - 4O51, 30/10/12.
70001 whines through the appallingly redeveloped Newport Station, in charge of 4O51 Cardiff Wentloog-Southampton MT.
70001 - 4O51, 23/10/12.
Having just passed Eastleigh Station, 70001 heads old friend 4O51 Cardiff Wentloog-Southampton Maritime on the last leg of its journey.
66565 - 4O49, 23/10/12.
Passing Eastleigh Station, 66565 is in charge of 4O49 Crewe Basford Hall-Southampton Maritime.
66590 - 4L32, 18/10/12.
At Newton St Loe, 66590 passes with 4L32 Bristol FLT-Tilbury.
66525 - 4O51, 17/10/12.
Happily 4O51 continues to be a staple freight working to enjoy, here at STJ 66525 is depicted with the Cardiff Wentloog-Southampton Maritime liner.
66563 - 4O59, 6/7/12.
Passing Bristol Parkway, 66563 heads the very late running (then) "MO" 4O59 Cardiff Wentloog-Southampton liner. In the background can just be seen 66601/607 stabled at Stoke Gifford.
66556 - 4V50, 30/6/12.
66556 flying through Patchway with 4V50 Sothampton Maritime-Cardiff Wentloog liner.
66533 - 4O57, 12/6/12.
In a rare period of 2012 June sunshine (although it was still hardly "balmy"), 66533 passes Patchway with 4O57 Cardiff Wentloog-Southampton Maritime liner.
66420 - 4O57, 1/6/12.
With a weekday "extra" Cardiff Wentloog-Southampton Maritime liner in the form of 4O57, 66420 passes Patchway.
66956 - 4O51, 19/5/12.
With the earlier outward 4V51 working recorded below, this is the return 4O51 Cardiff Wentloog-Southampton Maritime passing Pilning.
66956 - 4V51, 19/5/12.
During a spell of Freightliner running two Southampton Maritime-Cardiff Wentloog (and return) liners on Saturdays, 66956 nears the site of Chipping Sodbury Station with the second liner of the day, 4V51. I've heard on a couple of occasions that some photographers feel the communications mast in the background has ruined this vantage point when looking towards Chipping Sodbury tunnel, but with "the wires" on the way surely before long this sort of thing will be the least of our worries.
66564 - 4Z26, 12/5/12.
Approaching Ivory Hill, Frampton Cottrell, 66564 passes with 4Z26 Grain-Bristol FLT. Being honest I was waiting here mainly for 60063 with 6B33 which passed barely five minutes later, for the passage of which the sun duly vanished behind cloud.
66558 - 4V50, 24/3/12.
Here 66558 is running slightly early in charge of 4V50 Southampton Maritime-Cardiff Wentloog, this being at least a better image than the previous Saturday's effort.
66420 - 4O51, 21/3/12.
A distinctly grubby 66420 passes Patchway with 4O51 Cardiff Wentloog-Southampton Maritime.
66593 - 4V34, 10/3/12.
Generally this was a lovely sunny morning, save for the passage at Ram Hill of 4V34 Felixstowe-Bristol FLT liner, being worked again on this Saturday by 66593.
66593 - 0L30, 11/3/12.
Presumably after a visit to Stoke Gifford for refuelling, the following day 66593 passes Filton Abbey Wood light engine as 0L30 Stoke Gifford-Bristol FLT, prior to working the "Mondays Only" 4L30.
66594 - 4V34, 3/3/12.
66594 approaches the site of Coalpit Heath Station with 4V34 Felixstowe-Bristol FLT liner.
66954 - 4O51, 28/12/11.
Running slightly early on this day because I believe 66954 was required to run round 4O51 at Swindon, and then be diverted via Chippenham, Westbury, and the Berks & Hants due to engineering works around Didcot.
66589 - 4O51, 25/11/11.
At a nicely lit STJ, 66589 heads for the Severn Tunnel with a well loaded 4O51 Cardiff Wentloog-Southampton Maritime.
66538 - 4O52, 16/8/11.
This is the "extra" weekday Cardiff Wentloog-Southampton Maritime liner, at this time coded 4O52 (now 4O57) booked to run in the early evening, the outward being 4V52. Headed here by 66538.
70001 - 4O52, 9/8/11.
70001 speeds through Patchway with the weekday evening timed 4O52 Cardiff Wentloog-Southampton Maritime liner, I'd been chasing a photo of this machine for a little while.
70007 - 4O51, 23/7/11.
Another Saturday 4O51 passes Patchway, this time in the hands of 70007.
66534 - 4L32, 25/6/11.
66534 is held in Didcot's up goods loop, working 4L32 Bristol FLT-Tilbury "Wineliner".
66538 - 4O51, 25/6/11.
With Didcot Power Station dominating the skyline, 66538 waits for permission to proceed from Didcot's up goods loop working a Saturday 4O51 Cardiff Wentloog-Southampton Maritime liner, apparently on this day capacity was underutilised.
66572 - 4O51, 18/6/11.
This used to be the site of the hugely attractive Coalpit Heath Station, the industrial units on the left of the picture stand on the old goods yard. 66572 at speed with the Saturday 4O51 bound for Southampton.
66542 - 4O51, 11/6/11.
With the Saturday 4O51 Cardiff Wentloog-Southampton Maritime, 66542 passes Patchway with the service again apparently doing good business.
66537 - 4Z51, 26/4/11.
At Severn Tunnel Junction, 66537 passes at 08:11 with 4Z51 Cardiff Wentloog-Southampton Maritime. The reason for its unusual time and headcode was that this ran on a Tuesday following a linerless Bank Holiday Monday.
66538 - 4V50, 9/4/11.
On a bright spring Saturday, 66538 heads the early morning 4V50 Southampton Maritime-Cardiff Wentloog liner through Patchway.
66563 - 4O51, 1/4/11.
Taking the climb from the Severn Tunnel effortlessly in its stride, 66563 reaches the summit at Patchway with a well-loaded 4O51 Cardiff Wentloog-Southampton Maritime.
70003 - 4O51, 5/3/11.
Hardly a classic photograph, but an important one to me nonetheless as this was the first occasion I'd managed to record a 70 on a liner, being 70003 with the Saturday 4O51 bound for Southampton Mariritme.
